I am a Certified Life Coach who is especially passionate about empowering achievement-oriented women to maximize their personal and professional potential in midlife and beyond.
As a woman in her 40s, I relate to many issues that my clients, especially those between the ages of 35-55, face during this transition phase when we experience a multitude of social, psychological and biological changes. It’s a phase of our lives characterised by carving out a career path, re-balancing work and personal life, re-discovering one’s self…. It is also a phase when we may have to deal with divorce, health problems, becoming caregivers to our parents, financial stress and the transition to menopause.
Despite the numerous challenges however we still have dreams, we still want to feel confident and sexy, we still want to have fun and be joyful.
I have had a successful career path, I hold degrees in different disciplines, I have travelled extensively, I have been married for more than 20 years but despite these external measures of success, I had a ‘wobble’ a few years ago when I felt directionless and lost for purpose. It was only in taking a holistic approach that I was able to step outside of my comfort zone, acknowledge what was no longer working and face the inner critic head on, that I was able to regain my true sense of self.
More importantly though, is that I was fortunate to have a great support system. Sometimes we lose sight of the resources that are available to us. My experience taught me that having people around me who encouraged me to see myself through their eyes when my self-belief faltered was invaluable.
It has now become my mission to empower my clients to be true to themselves by:
I’m an explorer at heart. I love travel, food and have an insatiable appetite for knowledge. A client once told me that part of her reason for choosing to coach with me was because I looked like “someone who had danced in the rain”. I still do!
